2012 Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk

Team RothenbergOnce again, I'm participating in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 21. If you are able to help out by donating to our team, your support would be very appreciated!

It's that time of year again when I will be participating in the "2012 Making Strides" Against Breast Cancer walk on Long Island!

I walk with many people on my mind...first and foremost my mother, who continues to be cancer free after being diagnosed in 2003. I also walk for my Aunt Rose who's currently battling Breast Cancer, Bobby Flynn, a wonderful woman I worked with from 1999-2001 in Boston. Bobby lost her battle with breast cancer, so I continue to walk for her. I also walk for my friend Carissa Maringo who lost her fight to cancer in 2009 at the young age of 32. I also walk for fellow "Call Me Adam" participants Rue McClanahan and Olivia Newton-John, both cancer survivors, though we lost our dear Rue in 2010 after her stroke. Finally, I walk for all those people out there who have been affected by Breast Cancer and for those who can't walk!

If you are able to make a contribution, your support would mean a lot, whether it's $1, $5, $10, $50, $100, or more! Thank you for your time! Click here to make a donation!

Molly Pope at The Duplex, Sunday, September 16 9:30pm

Be sure to catch the extraordinarily talented Molly Pope this Sunday, September 16 at The Duplex in NYC's famous West Village at 9:30pm as she dazzles audiences with her signature style of songs from NYC's heyday of cabaret to today.

If you have never seen Molly live on stage, you are in for a real treat! This girl has vocal pipes like no one you've ever heard. She can take a note to the upteenth degree. I have seen Molly sing multiple times, but when I saw her in Dan Fishback's "The Material World," she was the only one to get a show-stopping, full on cheering round of applause after her solo number!

If you are free this Sunday at 9:30pm, definitely head on down to the Duplex in NYC's West Village for the show of a lifetime! The Duplex is located at 61 Christopher Street. $10 cover + 2 drink minimum. Click here to make a reservation!

Tawny, Tell Me True in Provincetown MA June 17-Sept 2

Tawny Heatherton is making her way to Provincetown, MA for the debut of her summer-long show "Tawny, Tell Me True." Following the heels of her sold-out holiday show in Provincetown last Christmas, and her critically acclaimed debut at the Laurie Beechman Theater in New York City this past February, David Drake’s newest theatrical creation "Tawny Heatherton" will bring her blonde-swept brand of sunny, funny cheer back to the tip of the Cape for her very first summer-long engagement – with the premiere of TAWNY, TELL ME TRUE at the Crown & Anchor in Provincetown, MA.

With onstage musical direction by John Thomas, TAWNY, TELL ME TRUE opens June 17th and performs every Sunday at 10PM thru Sept 2nd in the Crown Cabaret Room of the Crown & Anchor, 247 Commercial Street. Tickets are $25, and can be obtained in-person at the box office, or online at www.onlyatthecrown.com. (Note: *No performance on July 8th.)

I attended Tawny's NYC debut at the Laurie Beechman Theater this past February to much delight! Her show was original, funny, and definitely worth a second visit! (Click here for my full review)
