1. Who or what inspired you to become a performer? I have always loved performing since I was a child. I started with a group, The Charleston Youth Company when I was 10. My grandmother also loved to perform, and she encouraged me.

2. Who is the one person you haven't worked with that you would like to? I would love to work with Tom Hanks! I think he is so charming in dramatic and comedic roles. I love to watch him.

3. What attracted you to "The Might Macs" and what do you hope audiences will come away with after seeing the film? I grew up going to an all girls private school, Ashley Hall in Charleston, SC. I loved "The Mighty Macs" story of women being able to achieve their own greatness. The movie sends a really positive message about women, team work, and following your dreams. There is no other inspiring film out there about women in sports. I've  played basketball all my life, and the chance to do that in a film was a dream come true!

3a. What was the best part about working with Carla Gugino and Ellen Burstyn and what did you learn from working with them? Ellen is a legend, so to be able to see her work and to learn from a true master was real gift. Carla is such a kind person. She always looked out for all the girls on the team while we were on set. She always treated us as equals, and it was wonderful to work with someone who was so hard working and devoted to the film.

4. What have you learned about yourself from being a performer? Every job is a chance to discover something new about yourself, some aspect of your spirit or personality that you uncover in the role. I am a very Type A person, and I have learned that when I can relax and let go and trust that the preparation is there, that's when my best work can come out. I have to remind myself not to try to be perfect and just have fun.

5. What is your favorite part of the creative process in making a movie/television show as well as the rehearsal/preview period in a theatrical show? The real blessing of working on any project for longer than a couple days is a chance to really develop your character and your relationship with the other actors. In TV especially, sometimes you are thrown on set into a scene with people you have never met! The luxury to have time with people makes the performance so much better. In "The Mighty Macs," all the girls lived on the Immaculata Campus in the dorms together for the entire shoot! Talk about method acting! But it made our bond so strong, and I think that really came through in the film. We are all great friends today.

6. Where is your favorite place to rehearse/practice on your own? I like to be in my house, by myself. I know my neighbors can hear me singing down the hall, but that's ok. I am a big believer in practice. When I don't have the privacy or space to do it, I feel nervous. Like I have a test I haven't been able to study for.

7. Favorite way to stay in shape? I LOVE LOVE LOVE to exercise. I know most people see it as a chore, but I can't live without it. I always played several sports a year growing up. It's in my nature to be athletic, and it's my main stress reliever. I lift weights, run, swim, play golf, elliptical- you name it.

7a. Favorite way to spend your day off? I am happiest at the beach in Charleston, SC. That is my place of Zen. The only place I ever feel truly relaxed. To be there with my family is my greatest happiness.

8. Favorite skin care product? I use Shiseido skincare products. I got my mom hooked on it too.

8a. Favorite kind of shoes? My running shoes! I have got to be able to walk. I hate being uncomfortable running all over the city. I also love my Stuart Weitzman platform pumps when it's time to be girly.

9. Favorite website? The Yahoo home page make me feel like I know a little of what's going on in the world. Any website that will help me find a restaurant for dinner!

10. "Glinda" or "Elphaba"? hmmmm........neither.

BONUS QUESTIONS:

11. What's the best advice you've ever received? Choose your battles. My Daddy also always tells me to just "go in there and show em' your stuff!" Easier said than done, but I always try.

12. If you could dream about anyone while you sleep, who would it be? I love it when I have happy dreams where I'm reunited with some of my relatives who are no longer with us. I love having the chance to spend some time with them again.

13. What did you enjoy most about starring in "The One" and working with Jon Prescott and Caytha Jentis? I loved playing a character who was strong and successful in her own way. It makes the ending of the film better when you know she is going to be able to move forward with her life. Caytha was so easy going and made the shoot so nice to be a part of. She was clear about what she wanted as the director, and it helped us get what we needed so we could shoot efficiently. Jon is such a nice guy and he made it easy to create that husband/wife dynamic.
