Stage Rush TV: Episode 72 (I co-host with Jesse North)
Friday, July 29, 2011 at 10:38AM
As a member of the ITBA (Independent Theater Bloggers Association), I have had the opporunity to meet some of the most wonderful people who blog about theatre. While we all have our own niche on what we cover, we are all in this together and really try to help each other out when we can. So this past week was very exciting for many reasons, but one reason in particular was because I had the opportunity to be a guest co-host on one of my fellow bloggers website, Stage Rush hosted by the dynamic and wonderful Jesse North. Stage Rush is a multimedia website covering Broadway and New York theater. With a focus on the lesser-known people of Broadway and through the use of video, Stage Rush aims to bring the stories and faces of theater’s underdogs to its readers.
Jesse came up with this amazing idea to have a few of us co-host with him so we can show this exact sentiment to everyone. He has already had Kevin Daly of "Theatre Aficionado at Large" and Sara B. Roberts "Adventures in the Endless Pursuit of Entertainment" Now, it was my turn...
Jesse and I filmed the episode right next to Pier 83 on 44th Street with the river as our beautiful backdrop. Jesse and I had a blast recapping our week in theatre covering Broadway in Bryant Park, his interview with "Sister Act's" Chester Gregory, Broadway Grosses, and me going to see the documentary film "One Night Stand," which chronicles the making of the "24-hour Musicals."
I hope everyone enjoys this co-collaboration and that I get the opportunity to do this again. I had a fantastic time and am very grateful and honored that Jesse has asked me to be a guest co-host! So sit back, relax, and enjoy....
